viva love story!
So my big sister is getting married in less than a month. UNREAL. I have been helping her plan a lot and its giving me some ideas for when my time comes. THIS IS NOT SAYING I WANT TO GET MARRIED ANYTIME SOON. so everyone breathe easy. However, as I was searching for a song for her and her hubby to enter into the reception with, and I found this gem. It screams AG all over it...Viva La Vida and Love story in one...I mean come on.

If I don't let myself be happy now, then when?
Seems like lately a lot of blogger friends have been posting their bucket lists (a list of things you want to do before you die). It really got me thinking of what could possibly be on my list. I came to the sad realization that I was indeed too scared to make a bucket list. What if I never got half of my list accomplished? I mean I have ambition and desire to do amazing things--but sometimes reality bites you in the ass. I know I need to just shut up and make the list- because maybe by making the list I will make the step closer to accomplishing bigger goals.
Well until I can conjure up the courage and can really think of what I want to do before I die, I decided to make a list of goals I've already accomplished. My list won't be only goals, actually it will also be a list of amazing things I have already done that are found on other people's list. Why sit here and think of all the things I want to do, when I have done some pretty cool stuff already. So here it goes:
- Traveled to Egypt.
-Visited the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx.
-Sat along the Nile.
-Rode a Camel.
-Rode an elephant.
-Enjoyed Cancun on your typical college spring break.
-Traveled to Baltimore, DC, NYC, Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, Nashville, Virgina Beach, Ocean City, MD, Atlantic City (lots more of the US to see, I'm aware).
- Worked in the greatest city of all, NYC.
-Stayed up all night for charity (Relay for Life).
-Stayed up all night for tickets to a sporting event.
-Got recognized for outstanding volunteer work at a non-profit.
-Got an academic scholarship.
- Worked with celebrities.
-Met one of the 5 NSYNCers (yes that's an accomplishment!!)
-Ran a cafe for a whole week with my sister.
-Won tickets to a concert off the radio.
-Been to over 30 concerts and counting...
-Worked at the CBS Broadcast Center.
-Been to a taping of the Late Show w/ David Letterman, Daily Show (2), The Colbert Report, SNL Weekend Update, BET's 106 and Park.
- Been to Fenway Park, Camden Yards, Progressive Field, Shea Stadium, Yankee Stadiums!
-Won a booty shaking competition-- thank you typical spring break in Cancun!
-Went para-sailing and snorkeling.
-Caught a catfish!
-Had my name announced on radio for production work.
-Stared in commercials at UD and was recognized for it.
- Worked at and attended the 2009 MTV VMAs (dream!)
-Put together a successful and sold out event for 800 people.
-Danced a solo in front of full audience and received a standing ovation. :)
That's all I got for now, but I plan on adding to the list. I know some of these are not accomplishments per say, but they were monumental in my book. I will certainly put together a bucket list of about 50-100 things to do before I die. I just don't know when...

I really think Jessica Simpson has matured a lot recently. She has that new show on VH1 called The Price of Beauty, where she travels around that world and learns about beauty in different cultures. I think this is a great concept that can really reach out and open a lot people's, especially young teenaged girls, eyes. In the picture above Jessica is photographed in a for a spread in this month's issue of Marie Claire where she has NO make-up on! GO GIRL! She looks stunning. I've always thought she was a beautiful girl- not the brightest- but definitely gorgeous. However, I think lately shes put the fake clueless act away and is becoming a wonderfully mature young woman. Props to her!
